When Máire’s eleven year old son Eoinín is diagnosed with lukemia, she struggles to retain control. As his condition worsens Máire’s control is further diminished with the arrival of his estranged father. When Eoinín forces her to read Patrick Pearse’s Irish story Eoghanín na nÉan, Máire finally finds the strength to let go.
