Help us preserve the heart and soul of rural Ireland for generations to come.

Hi, my name is Breege Rowley, and for the past decade, I’ve been driven by a deep passion to preserve the rich history and stories of our local Irish community. Through tireless work, dedication, and a shared love for our heritage, we’ve come close to completing an incredible project—’All Our Yesterdays,’ a feature documentary that chronicles the transformation of Swinford, a small town in the West of Ireland, from the harsh era of Penal Laws to the vibrant community it is today.

This documentary isn’t just a film; it’s a labour of love, a testament to the resilience, spirit, and indomitable character of the Irish people. We’ve spent countless hours gathering voices from our community, uncovering treasured photographs, cine films, and personal archives, all to weave together a story that pulses with the life and rhythm of Swinford. The film features a rich auditory landscape, crafted with the harmonious tunes of Swinford’s own musicians, composers, tenors, and vocal talents, who together bring the essence of our culture to life.

But we need your help to bring this project to full fruition. While we’ve come so far, the final stages of production and marketing are crucial, and we’re reaching out to you—our community and wider diaspora, supporters of Irish heritage, and those who believe in the power of independent storytelling—to help us cross the finish line.

Your generous contribution will ensure that this vital cultural narrative doesn’t remain hidden, but instead reaches a worldwide audience, allowing us to share our stories and legacy on a grand scale. By supporting ‘All Our Yesterdays,’ you’re not just helping to complete a film; you’re helping to preserve the history, culture, and spirit of Swinford for future generations.

This is more than just a local story—it’s a celebration of the resilience, music, and heritage of Ireland as a whole. With your support, we can highlight the talent within our community, showcase the stunning landscapes of North-West Mayo, and most importantly, ensure that the rich history and culture of rural Ireland continues to thrive and inspire.

Please join us in this mission to honor and share the extraordinary history of Swinford and its people. Together, we can ensure that the rich culture of rural Ireland continues to thrive and inspire. Every donation brings us one step closer to making ‘All Our Yesterdays’ a reality. Thank you for your generosity and belief in the power of storytelling.
